Portage Curriculum

The program serves the early intervention population with various disabilities, such as intellectual and physical disabilities,

multiple disabilities, and speech and language disorders.

Used with:

Children of early intervention age from birth up to age nine

Goal:

Early detection of disability along with providing curricula adapted to the local culture, covering early childhood and special education in addition to sensory and physical stimuli and self-care skills, by involving parents in the educational and training process within environments that reflect daily life.

Checklist (observation)
Reading Skills Test (spelling – reading comprehension – reading fluency)
Comprehensive Orthographic Processing Test (orthographic memory – orthographic recognition speed – dictation)
